The QMS, QA Assurance and Training Department implemented many new initiatives and are excited for 2015.
MS, QA Assurance and Training
• Successful conclusion of 2 internal audits.
• Successful conclusion of Bureau Veritas surveillance audit.
• Management review meetings.
• Improved QMS awareness within the organization through engagements, monthly publication of quality digests and so on.
• Improved compliance and enforcement to procedures and process within the organization
• IDC review of 162 deliverables
• Prepared, reviewed and issued 29 QA/QC deliverables
• Less than 5% rework on quality deliverables issued to clients
• Conducted vendors’ audit in Lagos and Port Harcourt location. Total number of vendors audited.
TRAINING
• Training on electronic form creation was attended by all staff in the department. QMS/Audit Awareness session was organized for QMS auditors by the department.
• A 2-dayTrainings on welding concepts was organized by the department for all trainee engineers in Lagos office.
PROJECTS
• Effective organization and resource deployment of QA/QC personnel
• Quality surveillance and inspection in the fabrication and completion of lube oil and diesel tanks for Adibawa at Nivafer Fabrication yard.
• Test run of customer feedback software-survey monkey
• Pre-qualification and registration of …21….vendors/suppliers
• Quality surveillance, inspection and supervision of various vessels for Adibawa, Utorogu project at EWT facility in PHC.
• Quality surveillance, inspection and supervision of fabrication and installation of Bristow helicopter turbine piping.
• Development and effective monitoring of equipment calibration control tracker for METS Legacy.
• Quality supervision and inspection on Agbada site for the completion of the following :
- 9 foundations on Train 2
- 49 piles
- Compaction of laydown area 1 and 2
- Workers shed
• Supervision of compressive and cube crushing for strength of concrete cubes on various projects. Over 95% compliance to the required standard.
• Quality surveillance and review of 3rd party audit inspection activity on our major vendors.
• Quality surveillance, monitoring on Utorogu NAG Project.
• Improved Preservation Activities within the organization.
• Improved material receiving inspection within the organization.
• Succesful participation in Project Kick Off meetings for Utorogu and Adibawa Fabrication.
• Strategic Quality support to Makon Subsidiaries such as Makon Power, Makon Oil and Gas.
